Expungement Clinic

Looking for a fresh start? The Justice and Accountability Center of Louisiana (JAC), an organization dedicated to helping people recover from the criminal legal system, is holding a free expungement clinic to help clear past records. Staff will also help eligible attendees apply for income-based fee waivers to reduce or eliminate the cost of filing. No registration is needed, and people will be seen in the order they arrive. To be helped at the clinic, you must bring three documents: your Bill of Information and Court Minutes, both available from the Clerk of Court, and a background check from the Louisiana State Police or your local sheriff’s office.
