Immigration Services & Legal Advocacy (ISLA) is a New Orleans–based nonprofit that defends immigrant communities through direct legal services and advocacy for just, humane immigration policy. Their attorneys visit ICE detention centers across Louisiana and Mississippi and provide free, universal-representation deportation defense before the immigration courts so detained people aren’t forced to face hearings alone.
