Shreveport Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project

About
SBF Pro Bono Project
The Shreveport Bar Foundation Pro Bono Project connects people who can’t afford a lawyer with volunteer attorneys who offer free legal help. The project helps with civil legal issues like divorce, custody, protection from abuse, landlord-tenant problems, and more. It serves low-income individuals and families in need in the Shreveport area. The goal is to make sure everyone has access to justice, no matter their income.
Services & Eligibility
You may qualify for free legal help if you live in the Shreveport area, have a civil (not criminal) legal issue, and cannot afford to hire a lawyer. Your household income must be within certain limits based on family size, generally up to 200% of the federal poverty guidelines. The program does not handle criminal cases, and some types of civil cases may not be accepted. All cases must go through an application and screening process to determine eligibility.
